Rodate Castle

Castello represents the finest Italian craftsmanship, appreciated worldwide for its attention to detail and unparalleled taste. Pipa Castello was founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti in Cantù. He hired the best craftsmen to create pipes with harmonious shapes and perfect finishes, using impeccable construction techniques. The name Castello was chosen with foresight as it is similar and recognisable in many languages. Furthermore, Castello is synonymous with solidity, power and admiration. Over the years, Carlo Scotti was joined by his son-in-law Franco Coppo, who brilliantly led Castello until 2025. Today, the management of the artisan workshop has passed to Stefania Coppo, Kino's daughter, who is preparing to take on this new challenge in the spirit of continuity and tradition. Castello's strength is based on several factors. Firstly, the expert craftsmen who shape the briar with their decades of experience and skill. Secondly, the long-seasoned briar, which guarantees light and dry pipes. Finally, the rigour - first of Carlo Scotti and Franco Coppo, then of Stefania Coppo - in creating the best possible product that reflects excellent aesthetics without neglecting functionality.

The finishes are Sea Rock (rusticated), Old Antiquari (sanded), Trade Mark (smooth with little grain), Castello (smooth with a hint of grain) and Collection (smooth with beautiful flaming). All finishes are available in several colours and the mouthpieces are made of methacrylate, entirely handmade. Annual production is 2500/3000 pieces.

"I run a workshop, not a factory. My pipes are works of art, the result of skilled hands, heart and imagination." Carlo Scotti.
