Ascorti Rodate

Roberto Ascorti first came into contact with the world of pipes at the age of 10, when his father Peppino set up his own workshop to produce pipes at the newly established Castello. He attended art school and nurtured his passion for pipes in his father’s workshop, which he visited regularly. In 1980, he opened his own workshop under his own name, Ascorti, and began producing his own pipes. He was supported by his brother Pierangelo and his father Peppino, who had in the meantime closed the historic Caminetto company. The involvement of the latter’s staff also proved invaluable. Ascorti thus possessed the experience, skill and quality that Peppino Ascorti had honed over years of work, to which Roberto added new designs and innovative technical solutions. The pipe enjoyed great success both nationally and internationally thanks to a new style and design that captivated keen smokers. In the years that followed, his son Tommaso also joined the workshop, bringing with him original and appealing ideas which, whilst respecting the Ascorti tradition of craftsmanship, ensured continuity towards the future.
