Bari Rodate

Bari pipes were founded in 1950 by Viggo Nielsen in Kolding, Denmark. He enjoyed great success with his range of pipes featuring classic Danish Design. He was later joined in the production process by his sons Kai and Jorgen, who had grown up on rye bread and pipes. His success was global, and by 1978, when he sold the company to Van Eicken, he had 33 employees. From 1978 to 1993, Åge Bogelund and Helmer Thomsen oversaw the production of Bari pipes. Their working methods remained unchanged for decades: pipes were first rough-turned by machine and then carefully finished by hand, one by one. The result was pipes that were not overly elaborate, but substantial and reliable, perfect for everyday use. Their creations are still highly prized by collectors all over the world today.
