Astleys Rodate

Astleys was a famous London tobacconist founded in 1862. They began by selling meerschaum pipes and later added briar pipes to their range. They never manufactured their own pipes but collaborated with prestigious brands. The first pipes bearing the Astleys name were produced by Charatan, followed by James Upshall, Dunhill and Ashton until 1980. The pipes were all high-grade and featured the characteristic English style. Subsequently, more affordable ranges were introduced, yet these were always impeccably crafted, remaining true to the style that had defined the brand in previous years.
