Son Rodate

Son pipes were first produced in 1960 and remained in production for just a few years. Erik Nørding was a mechanical engineer who built woodworking machines; he was commissioned to build one by Skovbo, a pipe repairer. Once the machine was complete, Skovbo did not have the money to pay for it, so Nørding suggested they go into business together to make pipes. Thus SON was born, a handcrafted pipe that introduced Erik Nørding to the world of pipe-making and which, more than 60 years on, still produces beautiful designs faithful to his style, which was considered revolutionary in the 1960s. The partnership between the two lasted only a couple of years, but the brand is still occasionally used by Erik Nørding today.
