Barling Rodate

Barling is a pipe manufacturer that was founded in 1850 as a silversmith, embellishing the pipes in vogue at the time, which were made of meerschaum. It later began producing briar pipes of remarkable quality. The family remained at the helm of the company until 1963, and the most precious pipes were marked with the T.V.F. (The Very Finest) label. Barling was highly regarded for its Algerian briar, which was left to season in the open air, giving it a different taste from other English pipes of the time.
