Peter Klein "Woodcock"

Peter Klein smooth orange pipe, curved free-form model with tortoiseshell methacrylate mouthpiece. The pipe is very elegant and refined, with dense flaming and a beautiful bird's eye pattern on the rim of the bowl and underneath, giving the pipe a superior class. The pipe is medium in size and stands out for its bowl, which is capable of excellent smoking in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for smoking while walking or sitting comfortably in an armchair. The model is called "Beccaccia" because when turned upside down, it resembles the head of a bird with the mouthpiece acting as the beak.

When Peter Klein learned the carpentry trade, he never imagined that one day he would become a pipe maker. The inspiration came to him in Denmark, his favourite holiday destination. After practising for several years alongside his pipe-making friends, in 1988 he began producing his own pipes in his home city of Cologne. His love for Denmark is reflected in his creations: the shapes are inspired by 'Danish classicism', although they leave plenty of room for interpretation. Precision and meticulousness have become the hallmarks of Klein pipes.
