A smooth, reddish-brown Poul Winslow Crown pipe, a classic semi-curved Dublin model with a black methacrylate mouthpiece. Group 300 rating. It is a very fine piece, with a classic silhouette and remarkable flame pattern that lends the pipe a touch of class. This Danish Style is the hallmark that has made Danish pipes famous, with Winslow being one of the most highly regarded pipe makers. The bowl, with its wide, tapered rim, makes the pipe very elegant and refined. Its clean lines are highlighted by the warm, enveloping colour, which further enhances the existing grain. The pipe is of medium size and is distinguished by a bowl capable of providing excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. Although the stem is quite long, the pipe is well-balanced and comfortable to hold. The Crown series consists of pipes handmade by Paul Winslow and his team, though they do not quite achieve the perfection of grain we have come to expect from classic Winslow pipes. The quality of the briar is the same, as is the care and attention with which they are crafted. It is an excellent way to enter and get to know the Winslow world before moving on to his famous Free Hand pipes. Excellent value for money.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo, as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
