Eltang Basic

Tom Eltangsaw his first pipes in a shop window at the age of six and knew that this was what hewanted to do in life. After creating his first pipes for fun, at the age of16, he was introduced to Anne-Julie who, after seeing some of hiscreations, took him on as an apprentice. Julie taught Tom the harmony and balance that pipes must have and the technique of contrasting colours, knowledge that would later make him famous. After three years, he moved to Dan Pipe as a repairer. This experience was very fruitful because he learned how pipes should and should not be made.In 1980, he began producing his own pipes, but only sporadically until the end of 1990. Assisted by Kurt Hansen, he created the Sara Eltang line dedicated to his daughter. In 1980, he began producing his own pipes, but only sporadically until the end of 1990.
