A red, sandblasted Dunhill Ruby Bark pipe, a classic straight billiard chimney model No. 5112 with a traditional black ebonite mouthpiece. The pipe is very elegant and its vibrant colour gives it a youthful look. The pipe is of medium size but stands out for its spacious, tall bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation; it is Dunhill’s classic straight model. Its light weight makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or sitting comfortably in an armchair. A classic that never grows old and is always in style. The Ruby Bark series is one of the most recent ranges introduced by Dunhill, specifically in 2007. Prior to this, there had already been a red sandblasted pipe: the Redbark, which was introduced in 1972 and went out of production in 1987. That version was a darker colour—more burgundy than red—and did not feature a genuine silver mouthpiece. The Ruby Bark takes its place, but the price includes a 6 mm silver mouthpiece. The sandblasting is very delicate, giving the pipe a ‘soft’ effect. The pipe was produced in 2007. Rating: 5.
