A brown sandblasted Dunhill Cumberland pipe, a classic straight pagoda No. 4 model with a traditional Cumberland ebonite mouthpiece. Rating: 4. The pipe is very elegant and its flat base makes it very practical, as it can be set down without falling over. The pipe is medium-sized and features a generous bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation; it is a classic and original Dunhill model. Its light weight makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or sitting comfortably in an armchair. Its lightness is astonishing and it is very pleasant to hold, even when unlit. The low, wide bowl is ideal for flake tobaccos as it allows them to breathe more freely, enabling you to savour every subtle nuance. The Cumberland was introduced in 1979. It features a sandblasted brown finish with a mouthpiece (now known as the ‘Cumberland’) streaked with shades of brown, reddish and antique pink. The rim of the bowl is sometimes smooth, sometimes sandblasted. Originally, it was only smooth and polished. The sandblasting is very delicate, giving the pipe a ‘soft’ effect. The pipe was produced in 2018.
The pipe for sale is exactly as shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo, as every monitor displays colours differently. The measurements have been taken accurately but may vary by one millimetre, either way.
