A sandblasted brown Dunhill Cumberland pipe, classic straight billiard model number 4103 with a traditional Cumberland ebonite mouthpiece. Rating: 4. The pipe is very elegant, and its clean, understated lines give it a superior style. For many, this model is ‘the Pipe’. It is medium-sized and stands out for its more than adequate bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation; it is the quintessential classic straight Dunhill model. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. A classic that never grows old and is always in vogue. The base of the bowl is flat, making it very practical as it can be set down without falling over. The Cumberland was introduced in 1979. It features a brown sandblasted finish with a mouthpiece (now known as the Cumberland) streaked in shades of brown, reddish and antique pink. The rim of the bowl is sometimes smooth, sometimes sandblasted. Originally, it was only smooth and polished. The sandblasting is very delicate, giving the pipe a ‘soft’ effect. The pipe was produced in 2015.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
