A smooth, burgundy-coloured Dunhill Bruyère pipe, a straight yet ‘curvilinear’ model, pot number 3106, with a traditional black ebonite mouthpiece. The pipe is very elegant and its dark red colour gives it a very refined look. It is small in size and features a discreet bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation; it is a new straight model from Dunhill. Its light weight makes it ideal for a quick smoke, whether out for a walk or relaxing in an armchair. The design is new and imaginative, allowing the pipe to ‘slide’ to one side to keep your field of vision clear. Perfect for smoking whilst using the computer, watching television, doing manual tasks, or simply because it’s fun and original. The Bruyère was introduced in 1910; until 1975, it was marked with an ‘A’ – signifying ‘best quality’ – on the side of the stem; until 1934, the stem was marked ‘INNER TUBE’. It was the only finish available from 1910 to 1917, and the colour is the iconic very dark reddish hue. La Bruyère is considered the quintessential Dunhill pipe. The pipe was produced in 2016. Grading Group 3.
The pipe for sale is exactly as shown in the photographs. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photograph, as every monitor displays colours differently. The measurements have been taken accurately but may vary by one millimetre, either way.
