Smooth, light brown Cerrato pipe, classic curved calabash model with black methacrylate mouthpiece. Rating LXX. This pipe was made by the great Luciano Cerrato. It has a striking visual impact thanks to its original shape, which was his distinctive feature. The pipe is very elegant and refined, with a calabash-style bowl that gives it a touch of class. The natural colouring highlights a very beautiful flame pattern, although not entirely regular across the entire bowl, but the wood grain is very pleasing. A compact and very light pipe, making it ideal for carrying around all day. The pipe is medium in size and stands out for its bowl, which is capable of excellent smoking in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for smoking while walking or sitting comfortably in an armchair. Cerrato's production was limited to a few pipes per year, but they were highly appreciated by smokers who still seek them out today to enrich their collections. A very beautiful pipe that is a pleasure to hold, even when unlit. It is used, smoked well and very little, mainly with natural tobaccos or English mixtures. Rating 9 out of 10. The pipe does not have its original bag or box.
Luciano Cerrato, born in 1917, devoted such passion and artistry to his hobby that he became a master. He started smoking a pipe at the age of 18, and this passion led him to make briar pipes as a hobby in the early 1960s. As soon as he retired, he devoted himself fully to pipe making, producing 150-200 pipes a year, all of them completely handmade. Most of his pipes (about 90%) are smooth and flamed, thanks to the extremely high quality of the briar used. The pipes are made to his own designs in free or classic shapes. The unique design of his pipes made them famous throughout the country, and Pertini was a great admirer of his work. His pipes are famous for their impossible drilling, with the stems drilled with a double curve, the only one in the world to produce this type of drilling.
The pipes we sell are only from the best and most prestigious brands and are rigorously selected by me from private collections. The pipes in question must have been well cared for and smoked, generally having been smoked very little, and are sanitised before being put up for sale. Once selected, they are disinfected and the interior sterilised, the mouthpiece is cleaned and the entire pipe polished, including the bowl and mouthpiece. Casaropipe guarantees that at this point they are ready to continue to give pleasure to a new enthusiast.

The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as each monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either more or less.
