Castello Collection Model 33 Short Canadian 2K Clear

Castello Collection smooth hazelnut-coloured pipe with black methacrylate mouthpiece, classic straight short Canadian model 33. Rating 2 K. Castello represents the expression of the finest Italian craftsmanship, appreciated worldwide for its attention to detail and unparalleled taste. The pipe is medium/large in size and stands out for its more than capable bowl and excellent smokability in any situation; it is Castello's classic straight model 33, one of the most popular among smokers. The model is also called 'pipotto' due to its reduced length and compactness. It was invented by Franco Coppo, who realised that by slightly reducing the stem of a Canadian pipe, it would be easier to handle and more practical. It is the ideal pipe to carry around for long, comfortable smokes. The light, pure colour highlights a beautiful traditional flame pattern with fine grain, although not dense across the entire bowl, but the wood pattern is still prestigious. It is also very practical as it can be placed down without falling over. Note the slightly more chimney-shaped bowl than normal. The Castello Collection series represents pipes with no defects in the briar and a dense, regular grain. The series ranks above the Castello but below the fiammate, which in turn are rare pipes of which only a few examples are produced each year. The quality is the same as all other Castello pipes. It is available in hazelnut, brown, black, red and natural colours. The ideal pipe for those who want a prestigious Castello with a beautiful, regular grain throughout the pipe.

Castello is an expression of the finest Italian craftsmanship, appreciated worldwide for its attention to detail and unparalleled taste. Pipa Castello was founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti in Cantù. He hired the best craftsmen to create pipes with harmonious shapes and perfect finishes, using impeccable construction techniques. The name Castello was chosen with foresight as it is similar and recognisable in many languages. Furthermore, Castello is synonymous with solidity, power and admiration. Over the years, Carlo Scotti was joined by his son-in-law Franco Coppo, who now runs the artisan workshop. Castello's strength is based on several factors. Firstly, the expert artisans who shape the briar with their decades of experience and skill. Secondly, the long-aged briar, which guarantees light and dry pipes. Finally, the rigour of Carlo Scotti first and Franco Coppo later in creating the best possible product that reflects excellent aesthetics without neglecting functionality.
