A smooth, hazelnut-coloured Castello Collection pipe with a black methacrylate mouthpiece, model 33 classic straight short Canadian. Grade 2 K. Castello epitomises the finest Italian craftsmanship, appreciated worldwide for its attention to detail and unrivalled style. The pipe is medium to large in size and stands out for its generous bowl and excellent smokeability in any situation; it is the classic straight model 33 from Castello, one of the most popular among smokers. The model is also known as the ‘pipotto’ due to its reduced length and compactness. It was invented by Franco Coppo, who realised that by slightly shortening the stem of a Canadian-style pipe, one could create a more manageable and practical pipe. It is the ideal pipe to carry around for enjoying long smokes in complete comfort. The light, pure colour highlights a beautiful, traditionally cut flame pattern with fine grain, though not dense across the entire bowl; nevertheless, the wood’s design is prestigious. It is also very practical as it can be set down without falling over. Note the bowl, which is slightly more chimney-shaped than usual. The Castello Collection series comprises pipes with flawless briar and dense, regular grain. The series is positioned above the Castello range but below the ‘fiammate’ pipes, which in turn are rare pipes of which only a few examples are produced each year. The quality is the same as all other Castello pipes. It is available in hazelnut, brown, black, red and natural colours. An ideal pipe for those who want a prestigious Castello with a beautiful, regular grain present throughout the pipe.
