A dark red sandblasted Ashton pipe, a classic straight short poker model with a black ebonite mouthpiece (Asthonite). Rating: XXX. The pipe is very elegant and the dark colour lends it a touch of class. It is of medium size and features a spacious bowl that guarantees excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness is also due to the special treatment of the briar, making it ideal for smoking whilst out and about or comfortably seated in an armchair. The pipe’s short length gives it the appearance of a ‘nose-burner’. The double sandblasting makes it very pleasant to hold, as if it were ‘softer’ to the touch. Excellent for walking, given its reduced tendency to show streaks and marks. It is renowned for producing dry smoke. Very convenient as it stands upright without falling over.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
