Ashton Old Church pipe in a hazelnut-coloured sandblasted finish, a classic semi-curved brandy model with a green/black variegated ebonite mouthpiece (Asthonite). Rating: XXX. The pipe is very elegant and the hazelnut colour lends it a touch of class. The brandy model is quite distinctive, with a wide bowl at the base that tapers upwards, ensuring the pipe stays cooler in the hand. It is large in size and features a deep, discreet bowl that guarantees excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness is also due to the special treatment of the briar, making it ideal for smoking both whilst out and about and whilst comfortably seated in an armchair. The double sanding makes it very pleasant to hold, as if it were ‘softer’ to the touch. Excellent for outdoor use given its reduced tendency to show streaks and marks. It is renowned for producing dry smoke.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
