Vitale Smooth Full Bent Apple Brown 3 Stars

Smooth brown Vitale pipe, classic curved apple model with black ebonite mouthpiece. 3-star rating. The pipe has a classic, essential design that makes it very elegant, with warm colours that give it a superior class. A model inspired by Scandinavian classics, it is always current and never tiresome. Its characteristic feature is the bottle-shaped bowl with a beautiful traditional flame pattern that makes it very refined. The pipe is medium in size and stands out for its bowl, which is capable of excellent smoking in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for smoking while walking or sitting comfortably in an armchair. The accentuated curvature makes it very comfortable as it does not weigh on the teeth. The mouthpiece is spectacularly crafted, thin and comfortable, with a 'tooth' that is just the right height for absolute comfort when smoking. The smooth series represents pipes with no defects in the briar and a beautiful, regular grain. They are rated with stars, two or three depending on their beauty and how dense the flame is. The two-star pipes already have beautiful grain and a lower price, while the three-star pipes have very dense grain and a higher price. The quality of the briar is the same, even for the sandblasted pipes. They are available in hazelnut, brown, red and natural colours. Piero Vitale is a young emerging craftsman who demonstrates great skill equal to that of more experienced craftsmen. The value for money is of the highest level.

Piero Vitale has had a passion for woodworking since he was a child. At that time, he spent a lot of time in his grandfather's carpentry workshop, becoming increasingly familiar with the tools of the trade. He discovered the world of pipes thanks to a friend and fell in love with it after seeing the work of craftsmen such as Victor Yashtylov, Kent Rasmussen, Tom Eltang, Eder Mathias and many others. He discovered that with creativity, skill, design and engraving harmonious shapes that highlight the beauty of briar, a pipe can become something very close to a work of art. This made everything much more interesting. His annual production is a few hundred pipes. They are handmade with rasps, files, sandpaper and a small lathe that he uses only for the pipe mouthpieces, which are made from a bar of ebonite. He uses the best quality briar, aged in his workshop for about two years. Most of the briar he uses comes from Tuscany or Liguria, while the mouthpieces are made from German ebonite.
