A sandblasted brown Silk Cut briar pipe, featuring a classic curved billiard bowl with a black methacrylate mouthpiece. The pipe has a classic silhouette that makes it very elegant, with a bamboo-style stem that lends it a touch of class. The pipe is large in size and features a spacious bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. The octagonal panel bowl displays a beautiful, very dense flame pattern, enhanced by the fine sandblasting. An incredible piece. The Silk Cut series comprises pipes with minor flaws in the briar and a beautiful, regular grain. The sandblasting is achieved by striking the pipe with tiny grains of silica at high pressure, which carve into the soft part of the briar, creating the distinctive pattern of a sandblasted pipe. It is the most robust pipe, as if any small cracks were present, the silica would immediately pierce the briar. The process is long and difficult to carry out but yields a final result that is certainly impressive. The quality is the same as all other Radice pipes. It is available in hazelnut, brown, black, red and natural colours. An ideal pipe for the warmer months as it warms the hand less. Excellent for walking given its lower tendency to develop streaks and marks. Radice is one of the Italian artisans offering the best value for money.
The pipe for sale is exactly as shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor displays colours differently. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
