Brown sandblasted Silk Cut pipe, classic curved billiard panel model with black methacrylate mouthpiece. The pipe has a classic shape that makes it very elegant, with a bamboo-style stem that gives it a touch of class. The pipe is large and stands out for its bowl, which is capable of excellent smoking in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for smoking while walking or sitting comfortably in an armchair. The octagonal panel bowl has a beautiful, very dense flame pattern enhanced by the fine sandblasting. An incredible piece. The Silk Cut series features pipes with small defects in the briar and a beautiful, regular grain. The sandblasting is done by hitting the pipe with tiny grains of silica at high pressure, which dig into the soft part of the briar, creating the distinctive pattern of the sandblasted pipe. It is the healthiest pipe because if the small cracks were through-going, the silica would pierce the block immediately. The process is long and difficult to perform but gives a final result that is sure to impress. The quality is the same as all other Radice pipes. It is available in hazelnut, brown, black, red and natural colours. This pipe is ideal for the warmer months as it heats up less in the hand. It is excellent for walking, given its lower propensity for scratches and marks. Radice is one of the Italian artisans offering the best value for money.
The pipe for sale is exactly as pictured. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as each monitor has its own tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
