This pipe was manufactured several years ago but has never been smoked. It is being sold as a second-hand pipe because, even though it has never been smoked, it is part of a private collection. The British have a term for this type of pipe: Estate Unsmoked Pipes. Therefore, although it is unused, it is sold at a reduced price, which is generally 25% off the original price. The pipe does not come with its original box or bag, but it is delivered with a bag from our shop.
NOTE: The list price of the pipe was €399.
Pierre Morel pipe, smooth brown in colour, classic straight Dublin model with black ebonite mouthpiece. AA Group rating. The pipe is classic but reworked in the style of one of the leading French craftsmen, making it stylish and very elegant. It has a forward-sloping bowl that gives it a beautiful sense of movement. It has a fine silver mouthpiece, which also makes it valuable. Its flaming is beautiful and dense across the entire bowl, except for one spot where it is slightly lost, but the wood pattern is fabulous. It is medium in size and stands out for its capable bowl, which guarantees excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness, due to the long seasoning of the briar, makes it ideal for any smoke, whether you are out for a walk or sitting comfortably in an armchair. The bottom of the shank is flat, making it very convenient as it can be placed down without falling over. The pipe is second-hand but has never been smoked. Rating 10 out of 10. The pipe does not come with its original bag or box.
Pierre Morel is one of France's most talented pipe makers. Based in Saint-Claude, the capital of briar pipes, he is one of the few craftsmen today capable of making a pipe from start to finish. He was recruited by Chacom to create a line of completely handmade pipes called Chacom Grand Cru. For this line, he created the freehand shapes Naja and 'Fleur de Bruyère'. In 1987, Pierre Morel joined the Chapuis-Comoy team full-time. Pierre Morel crafts all his pipes by hand using high-quality raw materials, extremely meticulous design and unrivalled finishes.
Pierre now works in his own shop. The new line is the result of over 40 years of experience in freehand carving of high-quality pipes.
