A Peterson Dublin London pipe, smooth-bore, hazelnut-coloured, with a black ebonite mouthpiece featuring a palatal draw, model XL220 classic curved full-body. This pipe is a quintessential Peterson curved model, timeless and never fails to please. The Dublin London series was characterised by a light, clean briar, with a grain that was not exceptional but always featured a beautiful wood pattern. This particular pipe has an English-cut grain with a hint of partridge eye, which is still appreciable even if not dense. The quality of the briar was always top-notch, the best available on the market. The pipe is of medium size and stands out for its more than decent bowl, which guarantees excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness is due to the long seasoning of the briar, making it ideal for smoking both whilst out and about and whilst comfortably seated in an armchair. A wonderful piece that is well worth carrying about all day, as its full curve ensures it never weighs down on the teeth. The pipe is second-hand, having been smoked very little and well, mainly with natural tobaccos or English mixtures . Rating 9 out of 10. The pipe comes without its original pouch or box.
The second-hand pipes we deal in are only from the finest and most prestigious brands and are rigorously selected by me from private collections. The pipes in question must have been well cared for and smoked properly; generally, they have been smoked very little and are sanitised before being put up for sale. In fact, once selected, they are disinfected and the interior sterilised, the mouthpiece is cleaned and the entire pipe polished, including the bowl and mouthpiece. The pipe for sale is exactly as shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo, as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either more or less.
