Peterson Smooth De Luxe 999 Bullmoose Silver Rodata

Peterson De Luxe pipe, smooth brown with real silver and black ebonite mouthpiece with palatal mouthpiece, classic curved bullmoose model 999. De Luxe rating. The series is characterised by a warm brown colour and a beautiful bird's eye pattern. It is one of Peterson's historic series, whose pipes are all made from extra briar. The pipes rarely have a beautiful, regular flame pattern, although this one has a wonderful bird's eye on one side of the bowl. The series is also characterised by hard briar, which requires many smokes before it is broken in. But those who have the patience to follow this arduous path will ultimately find themselves smoking a pipe that offers intense and distinctive flavours in the typical Peterson tradition. The pipe is small/medium in size and stands out for its discreet bowl, which guarantees excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness is due to the long seasoning of the briar, making it ideal for smoking both while walking and sitting comfortably in an armchair. This is not a pipe for beginners but rather for those who want to rediscover a personal taste that is, unfortunately, disappearing. The pipe is used, smoked very little and well, mainly with natural tobaccos or English mixtures. Rating 9 out of 10. The pipe does not have its original bag or box.

Peterson was founded in Dublin in 1865 and immediately became famous for the invention and introduction of the reservoir on its pipes. This is a reservoir in the stem under the bowl, which keeps the tobacco dry. The shapes of Peterson pipes (the traditional ones are curved, Army and Silver Spigot) have changed little over the last hundred years and continue to be highly sought after internationally. Many bear the names of Irish counties, islands or cities, and the rusticated pipes give the impression of being as rough as the Cliffs of Moher. Although Ireland is not a typical pipe-smoking country, Peterson pipes are as Irish as Guinness, Irish music and Irish stew. Production is around 125,000 pipes per year.

The pipes we deal in are only the best and most prestigious brands and are rigorously selected by me from private collections. The pipes in question must have been well cared for and smoked, generally having been smoked little and sanitised before being put up for sale. In fact, once selected, they are disinfected and the interior sterilised, the mouthpiece is cleaned and the entire pipe polished, including the bowl and mouthpiece. Casaropipe guarantees that at this point they are ready to continue to give satisfaction to a new enthusiast.
