Hand-made Peterson pipe in a sandblasted brown/reddish finish, with a black ebonite mouthpiece featuring a palatal draw, classic curved billiard XXL model. Rated "The House Pipe" Silver Cap. The pipe is characterised by a warm brown colour that accentuates the beautiful English-cut grain, which is further enhanced by the fine sandblasting. The distinctive feature of this pipe is its pronounced curvature, which makes it resemble an Oom Paul, but above all, a fabulous silver flame guard on the bowl rim that lends it absolute class. Its clean, minimalist lines make it very elegant and refined. It makes a striking visual impression thanks to its unusual physical presence. It is large in size and stands out for its more than generous bowl and excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair, although it is at its best in the latter situation. It features a fine silver mouthpiece, which also makes it a precious piece. An important pipe that Peterson has always produced in limited numbers, yet one that is constantly sought after and highly prized. It feels wonderful to hold, even when unlit. The Hand Made series features long-seasoned briar, which allows it to perform at its best after just a few smokes. The pipes always display a flame pattern, varying in density, which enhances every model. The fine sandblasting accentuates the briar’s grain. These are among the most prestigious Peterson pipes produced, referred to by the company as ‘The Pub Pipe’ in XL size or ‘The House Pipe’ in XXL size, as they are designed for use primarily in pubs or at home given their dimensions. Only the finest, long-seasoned briar blocks are used in their manufacture. They are a historic Peterson piece which, fortunately, continue to be produced, albeit not regularly.
