Mummert "The Brick Pipe" in a sandblasted hazelnut/red/green finish, an original straight poker model with a black ebonite mouthpiece. A one-of-a-kind piece. The pipe has an original, minimalist design that makes it very elegant, with a vibrant colour scheme that lends it a touch of class. An original model created by Werner that has now become iconic, timeless, and never fails to impress. The design was inspired by the famous Danish LEGO bricks. The result is a square poker pipe that is very practical as it can be set down without falling over. Its construction highlights Werner’s meticulous craftsmanship, evident in how the genuine Danish bricks fit perfectly onto the stem or the bowl rim, which has the distinctive feature of having almost sharp edges. Finally, the mouthpiece, embellished with a very attractive insert of two ‘bricks’, is crafted with absolute precision, featuring a thin, perfectly shaped tooth for incredible comfort between the teeth. The pipe is of medium size and stands out for its generous bowl and excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. The exquisite sandblasting technique—one of the most appreciated features of Werner’s pipes, which makes them look almost sculpted—is replaced here by a very fine, truly delicate sandblasting. To the touch, the feel is almost silky and very pleasant. A cheerful pipe that is sure to bring a smile to your face and evoke fond memories of our childhood. The sandblasted series comprises pipes with minor flaws in the briar and a beautiful, regular grain. The sandblasting is achieved by striking the pipe with tiny grains of silica at high pressure, which carve into the soft part of the briar, creating the distinctive pattern of the sandblasted pipe. It is the soundest pipe, as if any small cracks were present, the silica would pierce the briar immediately. The process is long and difficult to execute but yields a final result of great effect. The quality is the same as all other Mummert pipes. An ideal pipe for the warmer months as it warms the hand less. Excellent for walking, given its reduced tendency to develop streaks and marks. Werner Mummert is considered a master for his impeccable technique in creating his ‘jewels’.
