A black sandblasted Dunhill Shell pipe, a classic semi-curved Poker model (no. 4120) with a traditional black ebonite mouthpiece. Rating: 4. The pipe is very elegant and the black colour gives it a classic style. The pipe is of medium size but stands out for its spacious bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation; it is a classic semi-curved Dunhill model. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. A classic that never grows old and is always in style. The pipe has a flat bowl base and can be placed down comfortably without falling over. The Shell series was characterised by a double sandblasting process that produced a deeper finish, whereas today the sandblasting is single for a ‘softer’ effect. This series was introduced in 1917 and was the second finish introduced by Dunhill; it remains a hallmark of the brand to this day. The pipe was produced in 2015.
The pipe for sale is exactly as shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
