Black sandblasted Dunhill Shell pipe, classic straight ‘Fancy Bulldog’ No. 5 model with a traditional black ebonite mouthpiece. Rating: 5. The pipe is very elegant and the silver band gives it a refined look. Its distinctive feature is the absence of the traditional horizontal lines on the bowl, which lends it a fresh, alternative and highly original style. The pipe is large in size and stands out for its spacious bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation; it is an original straight model from Dunhill. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. A classic that never grows old and is always in style. The Shell series was characterised by a double sandblasting process that produced a deeper finish, whereas today the sandblasting is single for a ‘softer’ effect. This series was introduced in 1917 and was the second finish introduced by Dunhill; it remains a hallmark of the brand to this day. The pipe was produced in 2019.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website.
