Dunhill Shell Billiard 5103 Genuine Silver Stripes (2001)

A black sandblasted Dunhill Shell pipe, classic straight billiard model number 5103 with a traditional black ebonite mouthpiece. The pipe is very elegant, and the silver band with vertical stripes gives it a very refined look. It is part of a series of pipes produced in the early 2000s, such as the Hallmark, and its distinctive feature is the 12 mm band. The pipe is large in size and stands out for its spacious bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation; it is the quintessential classic straight Dunhill model. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. A classic that never grows old and remains timeless. The Shell series was characterised by a double sandblasting process that produced a deeper finish, whereas today the sandblasting is single for a ‘softer’ effect. This series was introduced in 1917 and was the second finish introduced by Dunhill; it remains a hallmark of the brand to this day. The pipe was produced in 2001. Condition rating: 5.
