A black sandblasted Dunhill Shell pipe, a classic curved model with a traditional black ebonite mouthpiece. Rating: 4. The pipe is very elegant and refined; the black colour lends it a particular grace. The base of the bowl is flat and, thanks to its perfect balance, it can be set down without falling over. The pipe is of medium size but stands out for its bowl, which offers excellent smokeability in any situation; it is Dunhill’s classic curved model. Its extraordinary lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. A classic that never grows old and is always in vogue. The Shell series was characterised by a double sandblasting process that produced a deeper finish, whereas today the sandblasting is single for a ‘softer’ effect. This series was introduced in 1917 and was the second finish introduced by Dunhill; it remains a hallmark of the brand to this day. The pipe was produced in 2020.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
