A sandblasted brown Dunhill Cumberland pipe, classic straight brandy model number 4934 with a traditional Cumberland ebonite mouthpiece. Rating: 4. The pipe is very elegant and its clean, minimalist lines, which are quite distinctive, give it a superior style. Its short length makes it a perfect ‘nose-burner’. This model was created to meet a very specific need: smoking a pipe in the car. Given its short length, there is no risk of the pipe hitting the window when you turn your head. Ingenious and fun. It is of medium size and features a spacious bowl for excellent smoking performance in any situation; it is a classic model that is not produced frequently but is always highly appreciated by Dunhill smokers. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. The pipe features exquisite English-cut flamed grain with a beautiful partridge’s eye on one side of the bowl, lending it absolute class. An original pipe that never grows old and remains timeless. The base of the shank is flat, making it very practical as it can be set down without falling over. The Cumberland was introduced in 1979. It features a brown sandblasted finish with a mouthpiece (now known as the Cumberland) streaked in shades of brown, reddish and antique pink. The rim of the bowl is sometimes smooth, sometimes sandblasted. Originally, it was only smooth and polished. The sandblasting is very delicate, giving the pipe a ‘soft’ effect. The pipe was produced in 2025.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
