Brown sandblasted Dunhill Cumberland pipe, classic curved billiard model number 6102 with a traditional Cumberland ebonite mouthpiece. Rating: 6. The pipe makes a striking visual impression thanks to its substantial size. It is very elegant, and its clean, minimalist lines lend it a superior style. For many, smokers and non-smokers alike, this is one of the models that epitomises ‘the pipe’. The pipe is large in size and is characterised by a more than generous bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation; it is the quintessential classic curved Dunhill model. Its lightness in the hand makes the weight shown on the scales seem impossible to believe, and makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. Its marvellous English-cut grain features a dense partridge’s eye pattern on one side of the bowl, whilst on the other we find the heart of the briar from which it originates. A stunning piece which, with its flat bowl, can be rested (diagonally) without falling over. A classic that never grows old, is always in style, and enhances any collection. The Cumberland was introduced in 1979. It features a sandblasted brown finish with a mouthpiece (now known as the ‘Cumberland’) streaked in shades of brown, reddish and antique pink. The rim of the bowl is sometimes smooth, sometimes sandblasted. Originally, it was only smooth and polished. The sandblasting is very delicate, giving the pipe a ‘soft’ effect. The pipe was produced in 2025.

The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photograph, as every monitor displays colours differently. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by up to one millimetre, either way.
