A smooth burgundy-coloured Dunhill briar pipe, a classic curved ‘Rhodesian Bent’ model (no. 1208) with a traditional black ebonite mouthpiece. The pipe is very elegant, and its dark red colour gives it a refined look. The pipe is small in size and features a small bowl for excellent smokeability in any situation; it is a classic curved Dunhill model. Its lightness makes it ideal for a quick smoke, whether out for a walk or sitting comfortably in an armchair. A classic that never grows old and is always in style. It is the classic coffee break pipe. The Bruyère was introduced in 1910, marked with an ‘A’ signifying ‘best quality’ on the side of the bowl until 1975; until 1934, the bowl was marked ‘INNER TUBE’. It was the only finish available from 1910 to 1917 and the colour is the iconic very dark reddish hue. The Bruyère is considered the quintessential Dunhill. The pipe was produced in 2008. Condition Group 1.
The pipe for sale is exactly as shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
