A smooth-finished brown Chacom Opera pipe with a black ebonite mouthpiece, model 8110 classic straight billiard. Opera grade. The pipe is very elegant and refined, with clean, simple lines that lend it an air of absolute class. A distinctive feature of the Opera series was the army-style mouthpiece, which allowed the pipe to be taken apart – even whilst hot – and stowed in a breast pocket. The pipe came in a small leather case and featured a metal band, lending it a touch of prestige without being pretentious, as this did not affect the price. The pipe has a beautiful English-cut grain with a subtle partridge’s eye on one side of the bowl that fades on the other, yet the wood’s pattern remains very pleasing. The pipe is medium to small in size and is distinguished by a bowl capable of delivering excellent smoke in any situation. Its lightness makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. It is in excellent condition, with sharp bowl edges that make it very pleasant to hold, even when unlit. An everyday pipe that is hard to put down. The pipe is second-hand, has been smoked very well and is in almost mint condition.It comes without its original pouch or box but is supplied with the shop’s pouch.
The second-hand pipes we deal in are only from the best and most prestigious brands and are rigorously selected by me from private collections. The pipes in question must have been well cared for and smoked properly; generally, they have been smoked very little and are sanitised before being put up for sale. In fact, once selected, they are disinfected and the interior sterilised; the mouthpiece is cleaned and the entire pipe polished, including the bowl and mouthpiece. Casaropipe guarantees that at this stage they are ready to continue bringing satisfaction to a new enthusiast.
The pipe for sale is exactly as shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo, as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
