A smooth, well-worn brown Cerrato pipe, an original straight ‘brandy’ model with a methacrylate mouthpiece. A unique piece. This pipe was crafted by the great Luciano Cerrato. It makes a striking visual impression thanks to its original design, which was, in fact, his hallmark. The pipe is very elegant and refined, with a bowl that starts wide and tapers towards the top, lending it a superior air of class. The deep, dark colour highlights a very beautiful, traditionally cut flame pattern that is almost uniform across the entire bowl, where we also find two inclusions which reduce its price but not the quality of the smoking experience. The pipe is medium to large in size and is characterised by a spacious bowl, ensuring excellent smokeability in any situation. Its light weight makes it ideal for any smoking session, whether out for a walk or sitting comfortably in an armchair. Its compactness makes it a natural choice to carry around as an everyday pipe. The bowl, which slopes forwards, lends it a very attractive sense of movement. Production of Cerrato pipes was limited to just a few per year, but they were highly prized by smokers who still seek them out today to enhance their collections. A very beautiful pipe that is a pleasure to hold, even when unlit. The pipe is second-hand, has been smoked well but not excessively, and is in more than good condition.The pipe comes without its original pouch or box but is supplied with the shop’s own pouch.
The second-hand pipes we deal in are exclusively from the finest and most prestigious brands and are rigorously selected by me from private collections. The pipes in question must have been well looked after and smoked properly; they have generally been smoked sparingly and are sanitised before being put up for sale. In fact, once selected, they are disinfected and the interior sterilised; the mouthpiece is cleaned and the entire pipe – both the bowl and the mouthpiece – is polished. Casaropipe guarantees that, at this stage, they are ready to continue bringing pleasure to a new enthusiast.
The pipe for sale is exactly as shown in the photographs. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photograph, as every monitor displays colours differently. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by up to one millimetre, either way.
