This pipe was made a few years ago but has never been smoked. It is being sold as a second-hand pipe because, although it has never been smoked, it is part of a private collection. The British have a term for this type of pipe: ‘Estate Unsmoked Pipes’. Therefore, although it is unused, it is being sold at a 20% discount. The pipe does not come with its original box or pouch, but is supplied with a pouch from our shop.

Castello Sea Rock Estate unsmoked rusticated brown pipe, model 24 straight prince with black methacrylate mouthpiece. Rating 2K π. The pipe is medium/small in size and stands out for its more than decent bowl and excellent smokeability in any situation, whether out for a walk or comfortably seated in an armchair. Its finish is elaborate as the pipe is double-sided, with one rusticated side and the other smooth, making it certainly distinctive yet full of character. This process is long and difficult and highlights the incredible skill of Castello’s artisans. The pipe is also compact and extremely lightweight, making it ideal for carrying around all day, whilst remaining very elegant and refined. A pipe that is very pleasant to hold, even when unlit. This Model 24 is the classic Prince, with clean, simple lines, yet enhanced by its distinctive craftsmanship. Thanks to its thick walls, it never gets too hot in the hand. An extraordinary piece well worth owning, which will enhance any collection. The Sea Rock series comprises pipes with minor flaws in the briar and irregular grain. The rustication is done by hand using gouges to carve the wood, a very long and laborious process. Paradoxically, these are the pipes that require the most work yet are the least expensive. The quality is on a par with all other Castello pipes. An ideal pipe for the warmer months as it warms the hand less. Excellent for carrying about, given its reduced tendency to pick up scratches and marks. The pipe is second-hand but has never been smoked and is in excellent condition.The pipe does not come with itsoriginal pouch or box but is supplied with a shop bag.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
