Smooth Castello Collection pipe in hazelnut colour, with black methacrylate mouthpiece, classic curved Hungarian model 97. Rating 2K. Castello represents the expression of the finest Italian craftsmanship, appreciated worldwide for its attention to detail and unparalleled taste. The characteristic feature of this model is its pronounced curvature, with the bowl and stem almost parallel, making it elegant and very practical. Very pleasant to hold even when unlit. The pipe is medium in size and stands out for its large bowl and excellent smokeability in any situation, whether walking or sitting comfortably in an armchair. Thanks to its pronounced curvature, this pipe does not weigh down on the teeth at all, making it very comfortable to smoke throughout the day. Its natural colouring is pleasing and gives a feeling of purity. The pipe has a beautiful English-cut flame with a fine bird's eye on both sides of the bowl. A stunning piece that is well worth owning. The Castello Collection series features pipes with no defects in the briar and a dense, regular grain. The series ranks above the Castello but below the flamed pipes, which in turn are rare pipes of which only a few examples are produced each year. The quality is the same as all other Castello pipes. It is available in hazelnut, brown, black, red and natural colours. The ideal pipe for those who want a prestigious Castello with a beautiful, regular grain throughout the pipe.
Castello is an expression of the finest Italian craftsmanship, appreciated worldwide for its attention to detail and unrivalled taste. Pipa Castello was founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti in Cantù. He hired the best craftsmen to create pipes with harmonious shapes and perfect finishes, using impeccable construction techniques. The name Castello was chosen with foresight as it is similar and recognisable in many languages. Furthermore, Castello is synonymous with solidity, power and admiration. Over the years, Carlo Scotti was joined by his son-in-law Franco Coppo, who now runs the artisan workshop. Castello's strength is based on several factors. Firstly, the expert craftsmen who shape the briar with their decades of experience and skill. Secondly, the long-aged briar, which guarantees light and dry pipes. Finally, the rigour of Carlo Scotti first and Franco Coppo later in creating the best possible product that reflects excellent aesthetics without neglecting functionality.
