A hazelnut-coloured, sandblasted Ashton Old Church pipe, a classic straight poker model with a black ebonite (Asthonite) mouthpiece. LX grade. The pipe is very elegant, and the hazelnut colour lends it a touch of class. The pipe makes a striking visual impression thanks to its generous size, and the bowl resembles a hammer, giving it a highly original look. A classic model with beautiful grain, highlighted by the fine sandblasting. It is large in size and features a spacious bowl that guarantees excellent smokeability in any situation. The wide, smooth rim of the bowl, in contrast, gives it an uncommon elegance. The flat base of the bowl makes it very practical, as it can be placed down without falling over. Its lightness is also due to the special treatment of the briar, making it ideal for smoking both whilst out and about and whilst comfortably seated in an armchair. The double sandblasting makes it very pleasant to hold, as if it were ‘softer’ to the touch. Excellent for carrying about, given its reduced tendency to show scratches and marks. It is renowned for producing dry smoke.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
