A dark brown sandblasted Ashton Brindle pipe, a classic straight billiard model with a green ‘English’ ebonite mouthpiece (Asthonite). Grade XXX. The pipe is very elegant and the dark colour lends it a touch of class. A very English, quintessentially classic model with an unmistakable style, particularly when paired with the colour of the mouthpiece. The distinctive feature of this model is the longer-than-usual mouthpiece, making it a long billiard pipe which has the advantage of always delivering a fresh smoke. It is medium to large in size and stands out for its more than ample bowl, which guarantees excellent smokeability in any situation. Its lightness is also due to the special treatment of the briar, making it ideal for smoking both whilst out and about and whilst comfortably seated in an armchair. The double sandblasting makes it very pleasant to hold, as if it were ‘softer’ to the touch. A very convenient pipe as it can be set down without falling over. Excellent for walking, given its reduced tendency to develop streaks and stains. It is renowned for producing dry smoke.
The pipe for sale is exactly the one shown in the photos. Once sold, as it is handmade and therefore unique, the pipe will be removed from the website. The actual colour of the pipe may vary slightly from the photo as every monitor has its own colour tone. The dimensions have been measured accurately but may vary by a millimetre, either way.
