W.Ø. Larsen was Copenhagen's most famous tobacco shop, located on the prestigious pedestrian street. Under pressure from his store manager, the famous Sven Bang, Larsen decided to produce his own pipes in the basement of the shop.His fortune was determined by the worldwide success of Danish pipes in those years, combined with the fact that he had craftsmen such as Teddy Knudsen, Tonni Nielsen and Jess Chon working for him.
